As memory must be creative in human beings and not simply serve as a thinking mechanism for the unconscious ego, it is normal that evolving Man undergoes a transformation in his ability to use his memory at will.

But the reason why Man will worry about the loss of memory is because of his emotionality, it is because of egoic worry about the burden that will be before him. The loss of memory will always depend on the nature of the work that must be done for a particular individual. Some will lose it more, others less, but in all cases, it will be an illusion in the long term because Man will be led by his energy to evolve in a direction that today he does not understand, but which tomorrow will become obvious to him.

Human memory is psychological support for the ego. It is a “reassurance”, it is a measure of one's intellectual capacity, but this measure cannot indefinitely interfere with a greater measure of one's creative consciousness. And when the energy becomes stronger, larger, it will tend to integrate with Man because basically, fusion is an integration, it is a use of the cosmic aspect and the material aspect of Man. So the ego will feel a loss of memory, that is to say a loss of control over the psychological material that it has accumulated over the years, material which has served it on the lower egoic level but which, also, can delay it, block it on the higher mental level, and it is to this extent that Man will lose memory.

He won't lose memory for nothing. He will lose memory to the extent that he must lose it in order not to delay the evolution of his mind. With time, Man will become accustomed to this loss of memory and he will indeed see that there is no loss of memory, but that there is simply an adjustment of his egoic relationship with the psychological material of memory.

Previously, when he was unconscious, he could remember, in other words, he could use the faculties of his lower mind at will. From the moment he evolves, his mind transforms, his vibration changes, Man no longer needs memory in the same way as he had it before because he must begin to live his life in relation to his energy, in relation to the rhythm of his energy, instead of living his life in relation to a frame of reference which is subjective, egoic and which is not part of the creative aspect of his mind.

It is in this sense that Man will lose memory, it is in this sense that he will not feel as effective in memory as before, but on the other hand he will discover that he is much more effective creatively. And when the transition from one state to another has been accomplished, in other words when the ego has become accustomed to its new condition, it will no longer suffer from the loss of memory and its life will already be different.

Already, his attitude in work will have been recomposed and Man will no longer suffer from the loss of this memory which he has always used to strengthen himself as a rational intelligence. The memory that the ego uses is a bit like a screen that it creates between itself and its higher part, and this screen becomes for it the set of all its knowledge, and it tends to base its creative psychic reality on this set of knowledge, and this is an involutionary illusion.

It's a bit as if, to explain memory, we are going to watch a film; so what we see in the cinema is memory, but the creative reality behind the screen is the cameramen, the actors, the beings on the “stage” (the stage) who represent the reality of the film. The movie itself is not real. What is real are the actions that led to its construction. So for Man, memory is the screen or what he sees on the screen, while creative consciousness is the dynamic movement of all these beings who created, constructed the film.

Man, naturally, is so accustomed to watching the cinema, the film, that as soon as the image begins to fade a little on the screen, he loses composure and he does not realize that if the image disappears a little, it is in order to allow him to realize a little more the dynamics of the creative forces behind the screen, in order to better understand life and in order to be able to use all its aspects instead of only using certain ones that suit his ego.

If Man did not experience a change on the level of memory, he would not be able to become aware of his creative intelligence, because memory, although it is very useful to Man on the level of the lower mind, can block him on the level of the higher mind because there are things, knowledge, knowledge which are not part of the ego and which must be channeled towards Man for his evolution. And since the ego always works according to what it has learned, it is so accustomed to the memory that it must be shaken a little so that it can feel other forces emanating from another energy center to which it gradually becomes more and more accustomed and, eventually, it feels able to move from the mechanical absence of memory and finally vibrate to a memory that is creative.

If we say that evolving Man loses memory, what loses memory is the aspects of memory that are not essential. Man does not lose the essence of the memory, but he loses the attitudes he has as an ego towards the memory. If for the ego the memory is extremely important because it gives it the impression of being intelligence, it gives it certain psychological security, it is obvious that the contact between the light of Man and the higher mind will create a shock, therefore will create a reduction in the memory.

And this will be useful to Man because it will teach him to remain “secure” on the ego level at the same time as he loses his memory. And if Man is able to remain "secure" at the same time as he is losing memory or seems to be losing memory, at that time there will be a greater penetration into him of this creative energy, and eventually, Man's creative energy will completely encompass even the mechanical memory that he previously possessed, because ultimately Man does not lose memory, it is simply retained by the creative forces within him to teach him to base his security, not on the subjective mechanisms of the ego, but on the creative power of its cosmic being.

Memory cannot be a measure of Man's intelligence, it is a measure of his intellectual faculty. And if this intellectual faculty blurs the field of action between him and his origin, it is obvious that the light will burst a little, will make this memory tremble a little in Man to make him recognize that he is much more than an accumulation of impressions during his life recorded in a small black box.

Man is a creative being, evolution will make Man a creative being. Creative means a being capable of bringing from the highest spheres of life, knowledge, sciences which are not part of human experience. If Man must one day bring to Earth sciences which are not part of the sensorialized human rational, he must be freed from the psychological mechanisms which tend to establish a close connection between the senses and memory, or experience and memory.

So for Man to enter into knowledge, for him to enter into the laws of life, for him to know the laws of life at all levels, for him to know the invisible aspects of reality and to be able to apply them to the material plane, he must be able to get used to living with a kind of intelligence which is not based on the mechanical memory of his senses. For example, if a Man wants to heal and use this or that remedy, he will have to pass from the highest plane of his consciousness and bring this information to the material plane, information which will probably be totally different from what we have as medical information, in general, which is used in memory by Man.

So the loss of memory is part of the transmutation of the mind. Men will experience it at one level or another; it will be more obvious in some than in others, no one experiences this loss of memory or this reduction in memory in the same way.

But what is necessary to understand is that the ego has to get used to not panicking about this loss of memory because eventually – and when I say eventually, after three years, two, three years, four years – the ego gets used to it, and eventually it no longer feels that it has lost its memory or that it is losing its memory. He knows that he does not have the same memory as before, but on the other hand, he knows that he has a creative potential which replaces this loss of memory and he feels very good that way, he does not suffer from it.

The loss of memory is part of the opening of the centers, it is the shock of energy in Man. It is almost normal for Man to lose a little memory when his centers open, because he no longer has the same mental resonance: it is as if there was a reorganization of his psyche.

But he is so accustomed to a certain order in his memory that as soon as this order is disturbed a little by the descent of a new vibration, he has the impression of losing his memory and he becomes totally disconcerted, some more than others, naturally. But this is only a temporary situation, and in the long term it has no effect on human behavior because the work of the descent of energy in Man is part of his evolution.

So everything is taken into consideration, its future as well as its present. Moreover, the more memory Man has, the less creative consciousness he has, precisely because memory seems or gives him the impression of a certain intelligence, of a certain capacity to understand, to establish relationships between things, facts, events. So somewhere Man must lose a little of the excess memory which is not essential to his consciousness, which is not essential to his life and which prevents psychic contact with higher waves of consciousness which could tomorrow give him a higher state of consciousness. So Man must lose something to gain something else, it's normal, it's natural, it happens like this on all levels of creation when there is evolution, transmutation.

So here, I was responding to a letter that was sent to me and I'm going to respond to another letter, in a short way.

Ce dont les enfants ont le plus besoin lorsqu’ils viennent au monde, c’est d’être aimés de façon intelligente. Et ceci veut dire : corrigés dans l’aspect astral de leur conscience. Aimer un enfant, c’est le corriger dans son astralité. Et si les parents apprennent à corriger l’astralité de leurs enfants, les enfants grandiront naturellement, c’est-à-dire que leurs propensions naturelles, physiques et intellectuelles se développeront à leur propre rythme, et les enfants pourront manifester leurs aptitudes dans le temps qui convient à leur propre progression. Et étant donné que ces enfants auront des parents conscients, c’est-à-dire des parents qui comprennent les lois de la vie à leur propre niveau, ils pourront comprendre et s’identifier à l’évolution de leurs enfants.

Par exemple, concernant la question intellectuelle, comment reconnaître les aptitudes intellectuelles de nos enfants, il est évident qu’un enfant qui grandit se manifeste d’une façon ou d’une autre. Il se manifeste à l’école, il se manifeste à la maison, et les parents sensibles, conscients, peuvent percevoir les tendances de ces enfants. But raising your child or children well means having gradually “de-astralized” the children, having made them more and more free from external influences, because it is the external influences which often confuse the direction, the physical and intellectual aptitudes of our children.

So if at home or when returning from school the parents are very very aware of the astral aspect of their children, if they are very aware of the denaturalization that they often experience in contact with a collective exterior and constantly bring the children back in an intelligent way to their reality, they will see that these children have physical and intellectual aptitudes which manifest themselves according to their own temperament, and it is only up to the parents to move in the direction of these aptitudes. There will be no effort to make, everything will be done in a simple way.

But if these same parents are not capable of recognizing their own reality, seeing, being sensitive to their own reality, they will not be able to see the reality of their children because to recognize reality in a child, you must have already perceived it, felt it, in yourself. So if the parents are real, sensitive, the children will grow more and more real and more and more sensitive, and the traits, the physical and intellectual skills will manifest, and the parents will see them, and the children will feel them, and the two together will work to develop these skills.

Children often do not have the same tendencies, often they are diametrically opposed. This is normal, but it is not because children are different that parents cannot discover in each of them the natural tendencies for the development of their propensity. Some children have a certain rhythm, other children have another rhythm. Some seem intelligent, others less intelligent. You must not mix the cards.

Each being has its own rhythm and the rhythm of each child must be respected. But if one child is apparently faster in his development than the other, or if his development pleases the parents more than another, this difference must be reduced because, even in the slower child, there are other qualities, and these qualities must be highlighted so that there is not created in the family a disproportion in the energy conveyed towards one child against another.

The child who is more intelligent, more adult, if you like, must be taught to love his brother or sister who is slower, slower. He must be taught not to compete with him in the sense of not reading to him, not to shock him on an egoic level, but to find in him the pleasant qualities of his nature which create a balance between the two children. In other words, two children who are not in the same rhythm or who are going in different directions must be brought together because, definitely, somewhere in the child's family life, there are plans where they can, where they can jointly benefit from an interesting experience. And when they each go about their activities, each takes their own pace, and when they come back together, they experience together a relationship dynamic that is only possible and intelligent if the parents have taught the children to respect each other.

Respect between children in the same family is not always the most common thing, and yet it is the most important thing, because children who live together in the same family and who do not learn respect are led in one way or another, somewhere in time, to divide, to separate. One will go in one direction and the other will go in the other and they will not benefit from common ground, from common ground which is the family spirit, which is the blood alliance.

It is obvious that to proceed with the harmonization and development of the faculties in beings, in children, it is also necessary that the parents be harmonized beings, parents who love each other, parents who are sufficiently conscious to understand the games of the astral, to understand that the astral always has a tendency to divide them, to create disorder. Once parents grasp this and control this situation, their unity becomes very strong in front of the children, and the advice they can give will be easily assimilated by the children.

The children will not listen to parents who are upset, they will go in their own direction, in their own little corner. But if children have parents who actually live a real family life, who are interested in them on a physical level, on an intellectual level, on an emotional level, they will benefit from parental sensitivity, and all this will be done without effort, all this will be done without great intellectual and pedagogical research.

But first the parents must be truly united, the children must feel this union. But the biggest problem in identifying qualities in parents, as they relate to their children – physical, intellectual, so on… artistic qualities – is that parents often lack sensitivity or themselves are not sufficiently aware of certain qualities that may exist in their children. But at least if they have the sensitivity and love for their children, they will pave the way for them, they will help them develop these propensities.

Educating a child will always be difficult to the extent that we will have the fear of “de-astralizing” them. From the moment parents understand this, from the moment they stop fearing the astral through their children, especially when the children grow up, there will be a new exchange of energy between parents and children, an energy exchanged much more easily. And the children will listen while the parents observe, and there will be an exchange between the two, and both will live this family life within the framework of physical, intellectual, emotional skills, evolving in a serene way.

Parents should not worry too much about the social aspect of the development of their children's abilities. If children are healthy because parents are healthy, skills will develop naturally, because somewhere in time, there will be exchange, there will be dialogue, there will be perception. And from this exchange will be born a conversion of creative energy into mental energy serving the children and also serving the parents, so that both will grow in the education of the children: the children will share what the parents can give them and the parents will benefit, will have the pleasure of being unified with the evolution of their own children.

Because the more time goes by, with the problems of contemporary society, the more parents feel alienated from the education of their children, especially from a certain age. But the alienation of children from parents is something that begins from the moment parents lose psychological control over their children. It is obvious that if parents do not succeed in constantly “de-astralizing” children – because “de-astralizing” a child means educating them well, educating them creatively – somewhere along the line, especially when these children are brought to live in school environments that are often questionable for all sorts of reasons, well, they will lose that bond with the children.

Parents do not need to control or have control over their children, but they do need to have a connection with them. Because a connection is vital, whereas a control is simply some form of domination or authority that children, somewhere, will blow up, because today, children are much closer to their reality than we were in the past.

So what children need is this bond with parents, an inalienable bond, a bond so powerful that external influences wanting to break this bond, at whatever level, will always be unable to do so. And this will be the protection of children against social evil or social decadence, and at the same time, will remain the inevitable psychic, vibrational progression between them and their parents who gave birth to them, so that the break between children and their parents on the psychic level will no longer occur, and the two together will become closer and closer, more and more friends, more and more beings who can easily help each other at all levels of necessary experience.

Previously, parents had authority, firm authority in the education of children. And this created very big blockages in children during their development. We are part of this older generation. Today we are in a completely opposite situation where the pendulum has swung to the far end. Parents no longer have anything to say in the lives of children who have reached a certain point. And one day the pendulum will have to return to the center, that is, conscious parents will have to understand that the biggest problem in education is the fact that what is astral in the child has to be adjusted.

A child comes into the world with qualities and defects. In other words, he comes into the world with a character, and this character must be refined. And the more refined it is, the more the qualities stand out, the more the faults disappear and eventually the child arrives at a state of maturity where there are no more qualities, no more faults, but simply a creative intelligence. So the synthesis has been made, the child is perfectly comfortable in his skin, he is perfectly well balanced on all levels, and whether he goes in one direction or another, the direction will suit his energy perfectly.

But where parents today have a great difficulty in education, especially in our modern times, is “de-astralizing” children. And this cannot be done at the last hour, this must be done when the children are young, small, to gradually, over the years, come to create a climate of fair appreciation between parents and children, a climate of intelligence. Children need to know that their parents are intelligent, not just that they are an authority, but that they are intelligent in an authoritative way, otherwise there is a blockage of energy in children.

And this is why it is difficult for the latter to discover their physical, intellectual and artistic abilities, because between them and their parents, there is often war. And add to this external influences, you end up with children at the age of 17,18,19 who are not happy, who are still looking for themselves. A child should not search for himself, a child should be led gradually over the course of life to discover himself. But for it to be discovered, parents must be sufficiently aware of the laws of the mind, of emotion, of the laws of life, to be able to gradually give their children an awareness of themselves.

That's education. It gives children the ability to become aware of themselves. And for this, parents must already be sufficiently aware, that is to say sufficiently intelligent, otherwise they will only have recourse to the laws of pedagogy, to theories of pedagogy, and these theories are theories which do good in a general sense, but which do not do good in a deep and individual sense for the child.

Every human being is different, there is no one being built like the other. Each human being is a plant that has its own scent and parents must have noses sensitive enough to smell the scent of their children, otherwise what is the point of having children! Why have children! Having children is a responsibility that begins from the moment they are young, babies, and gradually, through our sensitivity, through our inner surveillance, we bring them to the point where they can define themselves and always maintain the bond with their parents, but a real bond and not a bond that is based on the mores of the race, on the habits of the nation, where we meet once a year, at Christmas, or from time to time when someone in the family dies.

A conscious parent has enough inner contact to know, to know at least a little the direction of his child: he can go inwardly and have information and gradually look to see if this information sticks to the temperament of the child, and follow with intelligence this path which is dictated to him, but always monitoring that this path is real and that it is informed to him from a center of himself which is real.
